Personal and cross-border tax returns for Surrey and the Lower Mainland

Tax Preparation and Tax Filing in Surrey, BC

At iCanTax Service Inc., we focus on clear, accurate tax filing for individuals and families in Surrey and across the Lower Mainland. Whether you are filing a straightforward T1 return or have income and accounts in both Canada and the U.S., we help you understand what you need to file and why. Our office is located at Unit 110 – 13575 107A Avenue, Surrey, BC, and we offer both in-office and online appointments to fit your schedule.

SERVICE 01

Personal tax returns (T1)

We prepare T1 personal tax returns for individuals and families in Surrey and nearby communities. We review your slips, deductions and credits so your return is filed correctly and on time, and we explain your Notice of Assessment so you know what to expect.

SERVICE 02

Newcomers to Canada filing a first return

If you recently moved to Canada, your first tax return can affect your benefits and credits. We help newcomers report worldwide income correctly from the date they became residents, and make sure key forms are completed so you can access programs like the GST/HST credit and Canada Child Benefit.

SERVICE 03

Clients with income or accounts in both Canada and the U.S.

Many clients in Surrey have investments, pensions or bank accounts on both sides of the border. We help you understand when foreign income and accounts must be reported, how foreign tax credits work, and how to stay compliant with both the CRA and the IRS while avoiding double taxation where possible.

SERVICE 04

U.S. citizens living in Canada

U.S. citizens living in Canada often need to file both a Canadian T1 return and a U.S. 1040 return. We coordinate your filings so income is reported properly in each country, and we explain how the Canada–U.S. tax treaty and foreign tax credits may reduce double taxation.

SERVICE 05

Self-employment and rental income

If you earn income from self-employment, a side business or rental properties, we help you organize your records and claim reasonable expenses. We prepare the required schedules, explain instalment requirements, and help you understand how your business or rental income affects your overall tax position.

SERVICE 06

Filing missed past years

If you have missed filing one or more past years, we can help you get caught up. We gather your slips where possible, reconstruct income and deductions when needed, and prepare multiple years of returns so you can move forward with a clear picture of what you owe or may be owed.
